PREMIERE - HURST ALL MY FRIENDS ARE LIARS VIDEO

Performing at SAD GRRRLS FEST SYDNEY, HURST has been sweating on stages and rolling out infectious tracks whilst breaking hearts since 2014. After receiving a warm welcome from community and triple j airwaves with their track “Tom”, the band spent much of their freshman years supporting the likes of The Love Junkies and Kingswood.

All My Friends (Are Liars) is the first track HURST has written, recorded and produced independently. From tracking drums in a 1000+ seater church on the Central Coast of NSW, and everything else in and out of the bedrooms of their drummer Nick Zammit’s house. The song oozes nineties Radiohead- meets-Pixies influence, giving it a dark tongue-in-cheek bite met with powerhouse vocals by lead singer, Ana Veira.

Whilst the track is a lyrical commentary on the toxicity of social media, the music video took on a different direction to counter the songs dark theme. The band teamed up with up-and-coming Sydney-based film student, Tyrone Pynor, to create the story of a high school janitor who uses music to escape, albeit survive, her mediocre life.
